CNY = Chinese Yuan
The Chinese Yuan is the official currency of China. It is one of the world's most traded currencies and China is pushing for greater global adoption of the Yuan as a reserve currency.
Issuing Authority: People's Bank of China (PBOC).
The CNY is a managed floating currency, meaning it is not fully free-floating. It is tightly controlled by the People’s Bank of China (PBOC).
The offshore Yuan (CNH) trades separately in international markets and is less regulated.
