LEI = Legal Entity Identifier

The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is a 20-character alphanumeric code that uniquely identifies legal entities participating in financial transactions.
It follows the ISO 17442 standard and was developed under the Global Legal Entity Identifier System (GLEIS) supervised by the Financial Stability Board (FSB).
